The new 2021 Energy Code AND changes to the building codes have been delayed for mid-2023 implementation. It is now looking like it will happen later this year. Unfortunately, this will likely cause home price increases for building permit applications submitted after implementation of the new codes. Once final decisions are made by state agencies, we will examine the details and do our best to minimize the impact to our customers.
